As a disabled individual, Brandon has had to overcome many obstacles in his life and often has had to face difficult challenges, all of which he is grateful for because these challenges have helped him to become a better attorney with an intense focus, compassionate approach, and steadfast determination to help every client he serves. He wants clients to know that despite its imperfections, Brandon believes in the law and has a great respect for the American Judicial System. As he always says “the law is fluid and ever changing” and he feels lucky to be in a field where there is always the possibility of pioneering new and unprecedented law to benefit his clients.

Brandon obtained an undergraduate degree in Political Science from St. Cloud State University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of South Dakota Graduate School. Fueled by his drive to create positive change in the lives of others, Brandon went on to law school and graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Dakota Law School in 2005 where his favorite area of study was Constitutional Law.

Never one to back down from a new challenge, Brandon approaches each case he handles with fierce determination and passion. He has a keen eye for detail and brings an acute focus to each case he takes on. Brandon’s most memorable and successful cases highlight his ability to spot inconsistencies in the facts, testimony, and evidence.

Every client that Brandon serves truly matters to him, and he prides himself on the fact that he has built a firm with an empathetic client-centered approach. He understands that clients come to him when they are facing life altering circumstances. Always seeking the most favorable outcome, he is invested and dedicated to defending the peace of mind of each and every client he serves.

As a true American patriot, Brandon had dreams of joining the military JAG Corp, but unfortunately was prevented from service due to his disability. However, through his work he has found ways to proudly support service men and women as well as veterans navigate the legal process, and is extremely grateful for their service to this great country.

Despite the daily challenges he faces with his disability, Brandon bravely set out on his own and moved from his hometown in South Dakota to Minot in 2013. A staunch advocate for the rights of disabled individuals, Brandon was named Independence Inc.’s Advocate of the Year in 2016. He proudly lives independently, but has forged many close friendships within the community and is happy to call Minot home.

A true movie buff, Brandon enjoys mobster dramas and anything Star Wars, except the Disney franchise which he is happy to debate about with any fan. Every Friday night you can find him at Off the Vine in Minot relaxing with friends and enthusiastically sparking light-hearted political debates. From the time he was a kid playing Trivial Pursuit, Brandon has had a knack for trivia and relishes the opportunity to show off his skills with his teammates at local trivia nights around town.
